Students have been celebrating success as the A Level results are significantly better than last year, with a 99% pass rate. Of these 57% are A*-B grades, 80% A*-C grades and 11% A*. This demonstrates that despite the disruption resulting from the move to the new buildings and the huge amount of work and planning put into the transition, the standards of teaching and learning continues to be of the highest quality. There are four successful Oxbridge students and six successful with medicine or dentistry applications. This further strengthens the findings in the recently published Sutton Trust report which highlighted the strengths of the St Bart’s students in gaining entry to the most prestigious universities. 25 students achieved at least 3 A or A* grades. Amongst the most outstanding achievements were Will Dace who gained 4 A* grades and is going on to study medicine at Oxford and Milly Calloway, Melissa Raymond, Brendan Clifford and Danielle Craig who all achieved 3 A* grades.
