Chinese Teachers Visited St Bart’s

chinese-visitors-group-photo-feb-2010New links between St Bart’s and China have been established as around 20 teachers from Beijing Number 80 Middle School spent a day in school to observe British education in practice.  The teachers were in the UK attending a three week course at Oxford University on British education. The Chinese guests were welcomed by Mrs Haddrell and Mrs Wood.  A group of students learning Chinese gave a short presentation in Mandarin Chinese about St Bart’s.  The visitors spent the day meeting members of staff, touring the school and observing some of our lessons.  They also found out about our Business and Enterprise specialism and expressed interest in the new buildings.  St Bart’s already has links with schools in Qingdao and Shanghai and this visit has created further opportunities to open new associations in Beijing.
