We are really proud of the progress made by all our students that has led to St Bart’s coming top of West Berkshire secondary schools in this year’s Government league tables, significantly ahead of other schools in the district. For the second year running the tables are calculated using the new Progress 8 scheme which measures students’ performance from leaving primary school by 8 GCSEs.
It is a tremendous achievement to secure a Progress 8 score of 0.4 for two successive years at Key Stage 4. Comparing the performance of St Bart’s students to those in similar schools nationwide, there are no schools with better achievement within a 75-mile radius.
Equally, at A level, students continue their success with progress being significantly above national averages. This is the result of the high quality teaching at St Bart’s and all the hard work staff and students put in which we really appreciate.
