Excellent Ofsted Report

May 2014 by Allan MercadoAn overall good rating by Ofsted for St Bart’s is being celebrated by staff and students following the recent inspection.  It is very pleasing that the Ofsted team recognised what a very good, and in some aspects outstanding, school St Bart’s is and how the school ensures students are well prepared to be caring and considerate citizens and that they make good progress in all their subjects.

The inspectors’ praise for the students was of the highest level and students’ behaviour was judged as outstanding.  The report states that students take great pride in their school.  It also highlights how lessons are well planned and teaching across the school is typically good and some even better, and in the Sixth Form many examples of rapid learning were seen.

This was a very rigorous inspection and the outcomes confirm that students at St Bart’s make very good progress, well above the national average.

The school knows its strengths and, as recognised by the inspectors, continues to build on these to strive towards outstanding in all categories.
