A record 81% of students from Year 11 gained at least five A* – C grades, including English and Mathematics, with a third of all grades achieved across the year group being A* or A. Some truly exceptional results were achieved by individuals with 35 students gaining a remarkable ten or more A and A* grades. Amongst the highest performers were Anna Dean and Emma Lalande with 13 A* grades each, Amy Bowen with 12 A*s and 2 As and David Goldberg with 11A*s and 2 As.
For all students at GCSE level, success in English and Mathematics opens doors to future study and better employment prospects, so we are particularly delighted that over 93% of our students made least the nationally expected progress over their five years with us in Mathematics and 91% achieved the same progress in English.
The hard work and commitment of students and their teachers, combined with our broad and balanced curriculum has resulted in 49% of all students gaining the English Baccalaureate threshold of passes at C grade or better in English, Mathematics, two Sciences, a Modern Foreign Language and either History or Geography.
These results for an excellent foundation for students to enter our sixth form in September and continue their route to further academic success. Congratulations to all the St Bart’s students.
