Three Year 7 students were taken on a tour of the new school buildings and presented with their prizes by contractor Willmott Dixon for winning the Year 7 building site safety poster competition. The competition was launched to all students in the year group and they were challenged with designing an eye-catching poster to remind construction staff about the importance of site safety. Lottie Phillips, who gained first prize, together with Amber Chubb in second place and Katherine Swanson with third prize, were presented with gift vouchers and goodie packs containing pens and a Frisbee. The winning poster will be enlarged and displayed on Willmott Dixon sites across southern England. The students were accompanied on site by Barbara Alexander, West Berkshire Council’s Executive Memeber for Children and Young People, Mary Nicholls, St Bart’s Head of Art and Willmott Dixon representatives including Neville Dale, Operations Manager and Richard Scott, Safety Manager. Congratulations to the girls on their achievement.
