Triumph at AWE Science Competition

Tackling a variety of scientific tasks during the day a team of Year 13 students showed the greatest all round ability of the nine schools taking part. The day was very well organised and among the activities the students had to calculate the correct proportions of chemicals for the biggest explosion, work out the best way to send a laser beam around a maze and solve several forensic problems, with the correct suits worn for this one. More points were gained when solving problems on Particle Physics, Expolanets, Heart Rate, Cryptography and Earthquakes.

This was a very enjoyable and instructive day.
