A Christmas Carol

On Friday 7 December we were lucky enough to get tickets to see “A Christmas Carol” at the Old Vic in London.  When we arrived at the Old Vic some of us were in the dress circle and some in the Lilian Baylis circle, which is the top tier of the theatre.

There were two acts with an interval in the middle where you could buy ice cream and snacks. They were also handing out free satsumas and mince pies.

The show was great, considering that it was such a small stage the story was portrayed very well given the area they had to work in. There were doors on the stage that the performers could go through and they used suitcases to make desks for Scrooge.

I really enjoyed the whole day. We were a bit higher up on the coach so we got to see a lot of lights and decorations in all the shop windows, it looked very festive.

Thank you very much for the opportunity to be able to experience such a great show.
