We were delighted to be visited recently by Badminton England who came to film our KS3 girls’ Badminton Club. Last year, Badminton England launched their Inclusion Champions programme, to create role models to champion, promote and advocate inclusion within their local community. The club which is run by Malcolm Taylor, Inclusion Champion and Level 2 Badminton Coach, is being hailed as an example of how Inclusion Champions can have a real impact in local communities. The club was set up as a new initiative in September 2021 and has had a huge success in encouraging KS3 girls to try the sport. Twenty-six girls attend the club on a regularly basis and many more have come and tried the sport. Our congratulations to Malcolm and if you are a girl in KS3 and you haven’t yet given badminton a go, why not go along to the next session?
