Congratulations Eva & Deacon!
Congratulations to Eva (9E2) & Deacon (10D1)!
Eva (9E2) plays for JPL Oxford City FC. Recently they played in a tournament in Blackpool against other Junior Premier League teams and won the entire tournament! And this weekend Eva will be attending the Barcelona Cup with Swindon Football club!
Deacon (10D1)! has been invited to join Bath Rugby’s U16 Academy which serves as the entry point to the talent pathway for Bath Rugby. Deacon tells us more…
“I started off in the London Irish academy in Year 9 when I was put forward for trials and successfully was selected. At the end of Year 9, the academy had folded so I was brought over to trial at Bath and I got selected to join the Bath Academy PDG (Player Development Group). A couple of months later I was then asked to join the pre academy for Bath, which 80 out 150 players got picked for. This year I was asked to also play up a year for the U16’s (Year 11). Unfortunately I could not join in games vs Northampton because I had broken my finger, but I did train with them. I played at the recreational ground, which is the Bath First team’s ground two weeks ago, which was an amazing experience. Finally, on Monday I was asked to join the U16’s Bath Academy and even join the U17’s pre-season!”
