Curnock & Patterson House Evening

Published 2 March 2023

Curnock and Patterson held their annual joint House Evening last Wednesday night. And what a top night of entertainment it was! We had singers, dancers, musicians, comedy and Year 7 tutor group acts, to name but a few. A special mention should go to Mr Sullivan who led his tutor group in a brilliant version of ‘I Want It That Way’!  Many families came out to support the event and enjoyed snacks, refreshments and a bar provided by the PA. Dr Fitter was impressed by our mountain of raffle prizes. The ‘Curnock Crew v Patterson Posse Staff Dance Off’ had to be seen to be believed, frankly though, Mrs Seward’s Irish Dancing was straight out of Riverdance!

The night raised approximately £1400, with more to be added. This will be split equally between House Charities, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Newbury Cancer Care, and also the DEC Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal. This is a fantastic amount and we are delighted! Well done to all the students who took part and helped on the night, you should be proud, as you were all amazing. These things cannot happen without you!  Jess M, heading up tech on the night, was an absolute superstar – thank you Jess!
