Duke of Edinburgh Award

A huge congratulations to 55 Bronze, and 16 Silver DofE students who have been busy working on their DofE activities to achieved their DofE Award.  The DofE students participated in a variety of activities from volunteering in their local community, gaining new skills from languages to science, and participating in a sporting activities. The DofE participants also completed a self-sufficient expedition, which involved them carrying all their food, tents, stoves and personal equipment for the two or three day expeditions, and navigating themselves to the check points and campsite. 

If a participant was not in School on the DofE presentation day to receive their Certificate and Badge, please collect them from Reception.

Year 11 Silver Assessed Expedition

Five teams of Silver DofE students took to the River Thames for a three day canoeing expedition to pass their Silver DofE expedition section.  The DofE students really enjoyed the new challenge of a canoeing expedition. They actually found summer for the three days and had lovely weather, and all the students participating passed with ease.
