We are looking for someone to replace our current finance governor, who leaves us after having done an excellent job helping ensure we have a robust financial framework in place.
This opportunity is open to anyone who would like to contribute to our school and its community; you do not have to be a parent. Nor do you need to be an accountant; the school has a strong financial management team, though financial experience and understanding, including familiarity with budgets, financial plans and financial risk is required.
You will be part of a team. The Governing Body at St Bart’s is committed to providing excellent standards for teaching and learning, a motivating workplace for staff, and the continuing success of the school. We are parents, members of the community and school staff. We are very involved in the development of the school and in school life and we are a close-knit and supportive group, each of us bringing different skills and perspectives to the role. We believe we make a difference: Ofsted has confirmed that, where governance is good, attainment is usually good too.
If you would like to find out more, please contact Helen Sutherland (firstname.lastname@example.org), the clerk to the governing body, who will put you in touch with one of our team. We will be very happy to talk to you.
Ian Peddie, Chair of Governors
