Following on from a very successful day at the Area Athletics the previous week the girls were keen to repeat their high level of performances on Thursday 16 May at Palmer Park. They most certainly did not disappoint.
The Junior Girls had an amazing day of competition and with combined track and field scores they finished with a stunning team total of 343 points putting them in 1st place out of 9 schools, scoring higher than several other Counties. This fantastic result has enabled the Junior girls to qualify for an A Final at Millfield on 12 June.
The Inter Girls also performed superbly. Their combined track and field scores resulted in a very impressive 2nd place out of 9 schools with an impressive team total of 316 points missing out on 1st place which went to Downe House by just 5 points.
This result has enabled the Inter Girls to qualify for a B Regional Final at Basingstoke on 5 June.
