A group of 13 Year 9 students took part in the Willmott Dixon Challenge. With the new school buildings featuring green roofs, the building contractor set a task for the students to investigate different types of sedum roofs looking into the plug and planted option versus the blanket method. The students researched design, installation, costs, maintenance, life span, bio diversity and the effect on the environment. The challenge culminated in PowerPoint presentations to senior managers at Willmott Dixon. Congratulations to all the students involved for their detailed presentations.
