Harvest Delivery to Fair Close

Thank you all for the overwhelming response to our Harvest Appeal. We had a huge collection of over 1000 tins and groceries which were delivered to Fair Close Centre for the elderly and Loose Ends before half term. Deputy Head Girl, Harriet Atherton, and Deputy Head Boy, Marc Jenner, accompanied Henry Moors 7E2, Joshua Mowat 7P2, Aimee Goodrick-Meech 7D1 and Libby Black 7C1, along with Mrs Hodgkin to hand over the parcels.

Karen Ockwell, Manager of the Centre, was delighted with the donations from the students, parents and staff of St Bart’s School. The students were also able to meet some of the people who use Fair Close on a regular basis. The remaining
half of the harvest collection was delivered to ‘Loose Ends’, a drop in centre for the vulnerable and homeless in Newbury, organised by volunteer and Science Technician Elaine Boardman.
