The annual KS4 Awards Evening was held on Thursday 24 November at which over 100 prizes were awarded to last year’s Year 11 students to celebrate their remarkable achievements. The ceremony was opened by our Headteacher, Dr Fitter, and our Chair of Governors, Mrs Colston. Amongst the awards presented were an amazing 32 prizes given to students for making the most progress from KS2 to KS4. Subject prizes were given as well as 21 major awards for contributions to many aspects of school life beyond the classroom. We also enjoyed a short speech from the Mayor of Newbury. The evening was concluded by an inspiring speech from one of our ex-students, Jemima Small, now a very accomplished musician. It was wonderful to see the school hall full with prize-winners and nominees, alongside their parents, staff and governors. It was a very fitting occasion at which to celebrate a truly outstanding group of students.
