Languages Week

St Bart’s Languages Week was a huge success which raised the profile of languages within the school and the wider community. This week of activity and productivity promoted discussion and celebration of languages from around the world. We had over 300 entries for the bunting competition spanning a huge number of different languages. Visitors to the Open Evening last week were encouraged to vote for their favourite entry and the winners are as follows: 1st Place – Lucy C (8D2), 2nd Place – Aly E (8P3) and Ellena C (7D2 ), 3rd Place – Helena M (7D2).

Tutors shared a ‘Guess the language’ quiz with their tutor groups and students were encouraged to take part in a treasure hunt. The answers of the treasure hunt are published in the student briefing this week and the winners are as follows: Ellie P (8P1), Chloe I (8E1), Rishik K (8P1), Lauren B (8P1), Pippa M (8P1 ).

A huge thank you to all who contributed to Languages Week and for making it such a success. Thank you to the staff who participated in the treasure hunt, the wider school community who judged the bunting competition and most importantly to the students who embraced the week wholeheartedly and celebrated languages from around the world.
