On Thursday 16 June a group of GCSE & A-Level Music and Dance students took a trip to see the amazing production of “Singin’ In The Rain” at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton. They had a fabulous experience watching this spectacular musical show, and especially enjoyed the two rain scenes, which featured literally thousands of litres of real water cascading over the stage (and half of the audience!) This theatre trip links into the curriculum for both Music and Dance, where students need to learn about musicals and music theatre shows as part of the GCSE and A-Level courses. The evening went well, and as per usual, the students were on top form and an absolute credit to the school (even the singing on the coach was in tuneful harmony!)
