Three murals inspired by the new school buildings have been designed and made by a group of Year 8 students for display on the site hoardings. The inspiration for the designs was taken from the artist’s impression and plans for the buildings currently under construction. Taking different aspects of the designs the students rearranged the ideas to resemble a frog, a caterpillar and a flower. They then set to work to create the murals using acrylic paints.
About twelve students were involved with the project, with four creating the designs and the whole group contributing to the construction. The murals can be seen on the site hoardings near the Lifelong Learning Centre, alongside the netball courts.
