Congratulations to Adam, Annabel, Baijal, Elliot, Georgia, Harris, Maisie, Oliver and Thanvi (Year 13) who have all been made offers to take up medicine related courses. This follows months of hard work and study to complete extremely competitive entry tests and interviews for their chosen universities.

In addition to Georgia, who as previously reported, has secured a place to study Veterinary Medicine at Cambridge University, Adam is set to take up a Veterinary Medicine placement at Nottingham University. Baijal and Maisie have both been offered places to study Medicine at Birmingham University, whilst Haaris and Elliot were also successful with applications at Imperial College London. Annabel received offers from Birmingham, Exeter and Nottingham. Both Oliver and Thanvi secured a remarkable total of four places each. Oliver has been made offers by Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter, whilst Thanvi is looking to study at either Birmingham, Queen Mary London, Liverpool or Plymouth.

Mrs Lane, Head of Sixth Form at St Bart’s said, “This has been an extremely successful year for applications – one of the best on record. At a time when there is so much focus on the future of the NHS, it is truly heartening to know that such talented students are choosing to enter these challenging but rewarding professions. We are incredibly proud of all of them.”
