As you may be aware, industrial action is planned by one of the main teaching unions, the National Union of Teachers and the GMB, a main union for support staff, on Thursday 10 July. As always, we have to consider the levels of staffing we anticipate to be in school on that day to see how we will operate. The duty of care of students’ safety and well being is a paramount consideration.
On Thursday 10 July 2014 the school will be closed to students in Years 7 and 8.
School will be open on 10 July for Years 9, 10 and 12.
Students should bring reading books, homework for the times when they may not have their normal lessons.
The rehearsals for Bart’s Arts will continue as planned, and all students involved in this should go to Arlington Arts, as already arranged.
After school activities:
The Year 8 Boys’ Cricket District Final will be going ahead as planned.
No other after school activities, which normally run on a Thursday, will be taking place.
There will be a reduced catering service in school on 10 July.
