School Excels in New Measure of Attainment

exam-results-croppedSt Bart’s has excelled in the Government’s new measure of attainment for GCSE, the ‘English Baccalaureate’. The school is in a very good position in the new league tables with 43% of students in Year 11 in summer 2010 achieving the standard compared with the national average of 15.4%. This puts St Bart’s in the top 8% of state schools in England.

The measure is based on students gaining five A* – C grades at GCSE to include English, Maths,  Science, a foreign language and a humanity subject in either History or Geography.

The school is delighted that this measure of attainment recognises the quality of the curriculum and the high achievement of students.
