Sixth Form Induction Day 2019

On Friday 28 June the Sixth Form bunting was out ‘en masse’ as we held our 2019 Induction Day and welcomed students from 28 schools who will be joining us next year. The incoming Year 12 students had the opportunity to experience Sixth Form life and spent the day enjoying time with their Tutor Groups and Houses learning about enrichment activities and attending lessons in the subjects they hope to study at A Level. Over 40 subjects are on offer at St Bart’s Sixth Form and the sessions were designed with a fun take on what students can expect over the next 2 years.

This image of the famous St Bart’s Hub was taken by students in the iMedia taster session which looked at photographing architecture.

The day was supported by the current School Officer team and Subject Reps, resplendent in their purple and white t-shirts, and students enjoyed live music and ice creams (very popular in the hot weather) around the Sixth Form Common Room. Mr Robbins, Head of Sixth Form, said “It was great to see so many students taking full advantage of the day. There were a lot of smiling faces; it is a very exciting time for everyone.”
