Sixth Form Summer Concert

On Wednesday 26 June Sixth Form musicians put on a summer concert in St George’s Church to raise money for the charity Send A Cow, which helps families in poverty to start sustainable businesses and small-holdings. Ranging from ‘Cantique de Jean Racine’ sung by the Senior Choir to the Trumpet Trio’s arrangement of ‘Hallelujah’ by Cohen, the concert spanned a wide range of styles and showcased the skill and versatility of the singers and instrumentalists.

A quartet and choir arrangement, by Anneli Giaever-Enger, of the theme from ‘Friends’ brought the event to a joyful conclusion. Both the concert and the accompanying cakes and refreshments proved very popular with the audience and a total of £282.50 was raised for Send A Cow.
