One of the RAF aircraft carrying passengers in the Queen’s Birthday Flypast over Buckingham Palace on 15 June included four excited and privileged students and staff from St Bart’s CCF. The spectacular event saw the RAF 10 Squadron Voyager take of with three RAF cadets from the school’s CCF, together with St Bart’s staff memeber Flt Lt Howes, on board and ready for an experience of a lifetime.
After an early start the aircraft was in a holding pattern until the actual flypast over Buckingham Palace at 1.00pm. During that time, to the passengers’ amazement, they were flanked by two Tornado GR4s followed closely behind by two Typhoons who put up an amazing display.
The 10 Squadron Voyager is the RAF’s latest and largest transport aircraft.
