On Tuesday May 7 our two Young Enterprise companies took part in the West Berkshire Area Final. Students were required to set up their trade stand and then were interviewed by the judges about their company performance. They also gave a presentation outlining their activities since September. At the end of the evening awards were presented in a variety of categories.
Fuel Fitness were the winners of the ‘Best Business Plan’ award in recognition of their clear vision at the start of the program and the way in which they structured their plan of activities.
Home Matrix were the winners of the ‘Sustainability’ award in recognition of their efforts in using recycled jars to make their candles, using UK suppliers to reduce carbon footprint and using environmentally friendly materials.
Thank you to both companies for working hard since September and for presenting themselves in such a professional manner at the final, a real credit to the school. Thanks also to our business adviser, who has been a fantastic support to the students.
Well done to all the students involved this year.
