Come for lunch, bring your neighbours and friends and spend lots of money! There will be a hog roast, BBQ, Caribbean food, strawberry cream teas, local produce and (if you are over 18) a Real Ale and Pimms tent. There will also be loads of other attractions including a vast array of traditional games, tombolas and a coconut shy.
Ready Steady Cook – Christine Shortt, former Food Technology teacher, will open the fete and is also juding the Ready, Steady, Cook competition which is being sponsored by Home Farm Cookers – www.homefarmcookers.co.uk
Display Arena – There will be fencing and taekwondo displays and a cheer leading performance.
Donations – Bread, biscuits, jam, chutney etc, bottles of all descriptons, good quality second hand uniform, PE kits and plants. Please drop them off on the morning of the fete, preferably before 11am.
Pets’ Corner – Bring along your beautiful or unusual pet for Pets’ Corner.
Buskers and Street Entertainers – If you would like to play an instrument, juggle, do magic tricks and entertain the crowds, please contact the Parents’ Association.
Help on the Day – On one of four shifts of 8.30-10.30am, 10.30am-1.30pm, 1.00-3.30pm and 3.00-5.00pm.
Also at the fete will be artist Brenda Barratt who has painted two watercolours of Luker and Wormestall. The prints will be on display and available for purchase.
