Thank you Volunteers!
Did you know that this week it’s Volunteers’ Week?
Volunteers’ Week is an annual UK-wide campaign held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise volunteers. Volunteering is a vital component of UK society, these inspiring statistics (from Royal Voluntary Service and NCVO) highlight the incredible contributions of volunteers:
- 2 million people in the UK have formally volunteered at least once a month
- Volunteering added £4.6 billion in productivity gains to the UK economy in 2024
- 25 million people in the UK volunteered informally at least once in the year
Volunteering creates stronger, more connected communities and St Bart’s is extremely fortunate to be supported by our own army of amazing volunteers, including current students, former students, staff, parents and members of the community. We would like to extend a massive thank you to our Governors, Members of the Academy Trust, our Parents’ Association, our Alumni and all the amazing individuals who give their time and their skills so generously in order to ensure St Bart’s is the best it can be. From our Combined Cadet Force, to our PE offering, to our Careers programme, to our Duke of Edinburgh programme, to our House Competitions, to our Enrichment programme, to reading, maths and language support and so, so much more! We couldn’t do it without you. You make a huge difference. Thank you!
