KS4 ‘Extra’

KS4 Extra 2022/2024

During KS4 students are given the opportunity to take part in a variety of fitness or leadership based enrichment activities on alternate Friday afternoons. Students pick their option in Year 9 and commit to this option throughout Years 10 and 11. It is important that students choose carefully, opting for the activity which best suits them.  Most students receive their first choice but this cannot be guaranteed, as numbers are limited in some of these options.

*Please note the activities listed have been updated for 2022/2023. Students who have already made their selection will have done so from a different list.

The activities on offer include*:

ccfCombined Cadet Force ( CCF)

CCF aims to develop powers of leadership, self-discipline, responsibility, self-reliance, endurance, resourcefulness and perseverance through a wide variety of experiences and activities. All cadets begin with basic training within the three services consisting of drill and inspection, map & compass and service knowledge. Thereafter some specialisation occurs relevant to individual service chosen – Army, Navy or RAF.
