 Yr 7 Outline

In Year 7 students cover the following areas:

Logging into a Network and Managing a User Area; Emailing and Online Safety; Hardware and Software;

Data representation – using binary to represent numbers.

Online research and how to create meaningful, academic presentations

Use of Programs to Control; (Creating a game in MIT Scratch)

Gathering and analysing data to create a product for market;

 

 Yr 8 Outline

In Year 8 students cover the following areas:

Understanding the threats of Cyber Crime and how to stop being a victim.

Programming sequence, iteration and selection in Python and Python Turtle

Creating a mobile phone app in Thunkable – coding in a simple object oriented environment.

Modelling using Spreadsheets and the use of averages on large data sets
