In Year 9 all students begin the GCSE course (See KS4 Religious Studies overview). Students follow the new revised specification AQA GCSE Religious Studies Specification 8062A. In year 9 students study the Beliefs, Teachings and Practices of Christianity.
Students are assessed through regular Independent Study tasks, GCSE style assessments and an end of Year exam using the 9-1 grading system.
Year 9 students are taught for an hour a week in mixed ability classes.
