The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

I’d been in a whirl of excitement ever since I’d first heard we were going to watch a live version of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ in London and I have to say the reality lived up to my expectations and then some!

The atmosphere in the theatre was electric – filled with the buzz of an excited crowd eager to see the actors breathe life into the classic tale.

We weren’t disappointed! The set was so magical that I felt as though I’d been transported to Narnia myself and the actors all played the characters so well they felt like old friends.

I especially loved how they paid special attention to the little details in the background. From the woman cleverly moving in the clock, to the extras in the background, everyone had their own special place and important role to play.

Although it’s hard to pinpoint, I’d have to say that Edmund was probably my favourite character because he managed to add humour to all his scenes, which made the performance even more engaging.

The most impressive moment for me was when the Queen rose up off the ground with her magnificent dress flowing behind her, it was breathtaking!

I also enjoyed the many monsters coming out in masks – it was certainly eye-catching and effective.

From start to finish, the entire day was an absolutely brilliant experience that I won’t ever forget. I hope we can go to the theatre again someday soon. In the meantime, perhaps I can persuade my Mum to take me to watch it all over again!
