Your Sixth Form Team

I am thrilled to be taking on the role of Head of St Bart’s Sixth Form this year. Looking after the needs of almost 650 students and making sure they get the best possible experiences in our Sixth Form is an exciting opportunity, and I am delighted to have such an excellent and energetic team to make that possible –

Mr Wilder (Senior House Leader, Davis), Miss Bilcliff (Patterson), Mr Owen (Evers) and Mr Roberts (Curnock), as well as Mrs Garrety in the Student Support Office and Mrs Adcock (not pictured) looking after Year 11 applicants. This year we welcomed a record number of Year 12 students new to St Bart’s into our Sixth Form, creating the vibrant atmosphere that makes it such a great place to study.

This year we are focussing on enhancing our Culture of Learning in the Sixth Form, improving our study spaces including the revamped Robinson Rooms, and working with our experienced subject teachers in our 40 different subject areas to ensure lessons are always engaging and geared towards student progress. Our other key focus is Wider Participation – enabling all our students to set targets for improving their skills during their time in Sixth Form, taking advantage of all the amazing opportunities to take part in mentoring, clubs, societies and sports both in school and in our community. Lastly, we continue to strive to get our students ready for the wider world, with an amazing range of outside speakers, providing workshops getting them ready to apply for apprenticeships and university, and of course organising brilliant social events such as the Winter Ball. If you are in Year 11 we can’t wait to show you everything our Sixth Form has to offer at our Open Evening on Thursday 3 November – and we will be visiting you in assembly on 6 October to tell you all about it!
