Extra Curricular Opportunities


A huge range of clubs, activities and curricular enrichment options is available to students at St Bart’s.  From drama to sport, music to chess, debating to dance; there is something for everyone.  In addition, the curriculum at St Bart’s is enhanced by opportunities to develop team working and leadership skills through participation in CCF, Fitness including Eton Fives, Sports Leader, Dance Leaders’ Award, Horticulture or Arts Award options.  Our enterprise activities include Young Enterprise and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Sixth Form students also benefit from a wide range of opportunities, including chances to develop their leadership skills.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award 2018/2019

The school has its own Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Manager that offers students in Year 9 and above the opportunity to compete their Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.  Mrs Linnhe Lay is available each Thursday Activity Time (12.40-1.20pm) in Room W213 to help students with any questions they may have.

Students wishing to register to participate in the award need to complete the registration form and return it to school (Mrs K Tyson in W114 or Mrs Linnhe Lay) with a 2018-2019 registration fee of £43.00 for Bronze, £53.00 for Silver, £69.00 for Gold.  Registration forms can be found from the following link or from Mrs Tyson at St Bart’s in W114 or email llay@stbarts.co.uk

Those eligible for Pupil Premium/Sixth Form Bursary are able to receive financial support with the award.
