Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
The school has its own Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Manager that offers students in Year 9 and above the opportunity to compete their Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards. Mrs Linnhe Lay is available each Tuesday from 3.10pm-4.00pm in C014 to help students with any questions they may have. No need to book – just drop in with any queries.
The Bronze recruitment process for Year 9 students will begin during the Winter terms, with Year 9 students receiving a letter from Mrs Lay. Students will also be informed about the DofE programme in an assembly at school. Please note, students in Year 10 and above must contact Mrs Lay directly if they wish to register for Silver or Gold Awards.
Students wishing to participate in the Bronze Award need to complete the registration form and return it to the Schools Main Reception Desk. They will also be required to pay the DofE Bronze registration fee on Parent Pay. If you would like to enrol for the Silver or Gold Awards please contact Mrs Lay directly so that you can be added to Parent Pay. Registration forms can be found from the following link, from the Schools Main Reception Desk or email firstname.lastname@example.org
