Extra Curricular Opportunities


A huge range of clubs, activities and curricular enrichment options is available to students at St Bart’s.  From drama to sport, music to chess, debating to dance; there is something for everyone.  In addition, the curriculum at St Bart’s is enhanced by opportunities to develop team working and leadership skills through participation in CCF, Fitness including Eton Fives, Sports Leader, Dance Leaders’ Award, Horticulture or Arts Award options.  Our enterprise activities include Young Enterprise and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Due to the current situation, we are currently unable to offer most Activity Time and After School Clubs. but the Activity Booklet 2019/20 gives an idea of what is usually on offer: Activity Booklet 2019/20

Sixth Form students also benefit from a wide range of opportunities, including chances to develop their leadership skills.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The school has its own Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Manager that offers students in Year 9 and above the opportunity to compete their Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.  Mrs Linnhe Lay is available each Thursday Activity Time (12.40-1.20pm) in Room W213 to help students with any questions they may have.

Students wishing to register to participate in the Award need to complete the registration form and return it to either; the Schools Main Reception Desk or to Mrs Linnhe Lay in room W213 on a Thursday during Activity Time.  Please can you also pay the DofE registration  fee of £45.00 for Bronze, £55.00 for Silver and £69.00 for Gold on Parent Pay.  Registration forms can be found from the following link, from the Schools Main Reception Desk or email llay@stbarts.co.uk

Those eligible for Pupil Premium/Sixth Form Bursary are able to receive financial support with the award.
