Celebration Day

Published 14 July 2022

On Monday, the whole school community took time out from our normal lessons to enjoy the beautiful weather and to come together to have a whole heap of fun as part of our Celebration Day. The event was in recognition of both our recent Outstanding Ofsted result and to mark over 11 years in our new building, following the postponement of the 10 year anniversary celebrations due to the pandemic. We are extremely proud of all members of our school and this was a very special way to thank students and staff and to round up another hugely successful year for St Bart’s.

Students in Years 7 to 10 took to the field for a series of outdoor inflatable challenges, learnt new moves from a master of martial arts, deployed their code cracking skills in a series of timed online escape rooms and tackled quizzes and team building tasks as part of their tutor group. Our Sixth Form students enjoyed an Awards Ceremony marking their many achievements this year, before taking on alphabetti spaghetti World Record challenges, serenading the common room with some top karaoke and then taking on the outdoor inflatable challenges. Everyone also enjoyed an ice cream…or two…

Despite the very warm temperatures, all hugely enjoyed the day. Overheard in the corridor “I wish every school day could be like this!”…
