National Careers Week

Published 9 March 2022

It is National Careers Week and St Bart’s are marking the initiative in a number of ways. Staff have been displaying ‘What Does Your Career Path Look Like?’ posters on doors, outlining their previous jobs and the skills they have developed over their own career path. We hope these revelations will open up some interesting discussions with our students or spark ideas on what skills they might like to acquire themselves!

The Library also has many fun resources on offer for all our students. These activities are aimed at encouraging students to explore different types of careers, discover the tools on offer to support them with career decisions and to identify their own talents and passions.

We have a Careers Quiz for our Year 9 sutdents and, following our successful KS3 Careers Fair in November, the school is holding a Sixth Form Careers Fair this Friday. Sixth Formers will have the opportunity to talk to university, apprenticeship, and employment providers; including AWE, the NHS, Thames Valley Police, Ernst and Young, West Berkshire Training Consortium and many more. See next week’s BartholoNews for a full report on the event.

Remember that students and parents/carers can also visit our careers pages on the website. These pages are regularly updated with new opportunities.
