Our Young Enterprise team BespOAK participated in the Young Enterprise final on 12 May at Oracle, Thames Valley Business Park, Reading.
This event is the culmination of all the work that students have put into the program since September. Students set up an exhibition stand, which was visited by a team of judges, and they were questioned on their business activity, the processes they followed and the skills they have developed as a Young Enterprise participant. Each competing team gave a short presentation, detailing their business story. Judges then selected winning teams in areas such as enterprise, business planning and organisation and management.
Our Young Enterprise team did an amazing job. They were very smart and professional in their appearance, the trade stand looked great, they spoke to the judges with enthusiasm and delivered a very polished presentation. They were a credit to the school. We are the only school in West Berkshire participating in Young Enterprise.
BespOAK came away with the award for Organisation and Management!
This was well deserved. The group have worked very hard since September, putting a lot of time into the production of their product and dealing with problems they faced with a positive attitude and great teamwork. They are one of the most self-motivated groups we have ever had.
