The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time

On 17 January members of Years 10, 12 and 13 travelled to London to watch the National Theatre production of “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time”, based on the best-selling novel by Mark Haddon.  The play was first performed in 2012 and has since moved from the National Theatre to the Piccadilly Theatre, where we watched it on Thursday.

The play addressed some serious issues, such as the learning difficulties of the main character, Christopher, but were intertwined with comedy and mystery, as well as featuring live animals, which went down extremely well with the audience.

The production featured an incredible set, which used changing lights around Christopher as he investigated the “curious incident” which had occurred in his neighbourhood at the very beginning of the play.  Overall, the performance was fascinating to watch, and the day was a great trip for all the students involved.
