Parents’ Association
All parents/carers are members of the St Bartholomew’s School Parents’ Association (PA).
Parents/carers are welcomed and encouraged to get involved with the PA. Being part of the PA is extremely rewarding and there are several levels of involvement.
- Join the Committee to help plan events and allocate funds, meet other parents and gain further insight into the school.
- Help at one of our events.
- Share your feedback and ideas at our PA meetings .
- Attend our events with family and friends.
- Match Funding. Please make it known to the PA if you can apply for match funding via your employer. This can make a massive difference to the support we can offer the school to enhance the education of our children.
PA meetings and events are published in the school calendar and promoted in BartholoNews, the school newsletter. The PA can also be contacted by email at stbartspa@gmail.com and on our Facebook page (St Bart’s PA).
PA Meetings
The PA has two committee meetings each term, to which all parents are welcome. Alongside discussing committee business, we hold a Parents’ Forum Discussion on topics such as Reading, the PDP programme and Communication.
PA Events
The PA organises a variety of events to engage with students, parents and staff, to raise money and to strengthen our school community. Our events involve not only students and their families, but also the Leadership Team, Teaching Staff, Support Staff and Governors. We organise a regular Christmas Craft Fair, Quiz Night, and much more.
Forthcoming events in the 2024 autumn term (subject to change)
Second Hand Uniform
We also run a second-hand uniform shop on Fridays in term time (2:45-3:30 pm). If you are unable to make that time, you can also email requests to stbartspa@gmail.com
If students outgrow their uniform or leave St Bart’s, we would greatly appreciate donations of any uniform in good condition. Donations can be dropped off at the school Main Reception.
Supporting St Bart’s
Each year, we invite all departments and clubs in the school to make a bid for the PA funds raised that year. In 2023, this was just over £6,600. Amongst other things, we have most recently given money to:
- House Rewards, trips, lessons and workshops
- A cricket bowling machine
- Video cameras for CineClub
- An embroidery machine for Textiles
- Manga club
- Dungeons & Dragons club
- Resources for Food
- Resources for the library
