Admissions Appeals Information
Applicants to whom St Bartholomew’s School cannot offer a place, have the right to appeal to an independent Appeal Panel.
If your child has not been offered a place at St Bartholomew’s School, you can appeal against this decision. This is in accordance with the School Admission Appeals Code 2022, the School Admissions (Appeal Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2012 and the School Admissions Code 2021.
Submitting an appeal
If you wish to appeal, please follow the link below to our online form. Once received, the completed appeal will be processed and a panel set up by Clerks Associates UK, who are independent of St Bartholomew’s School. Details of your appeal hearing will be posted by letter from Clerks Associates UK. At least 10 school days’ notice will be given for an appeal hearing and any additional documents must be submitted to admissions@stbarts.co.uk by the deadline given in the letter.
A decision letter will be sent within five school days of the hearing wherever possible.
Normal Admissions Round
The deadline for lodging appeals for applications made in the normal admissions round for September 2025 is 31st March 2025. Appeals will be held within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals.
Late Applications
For any late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
In Year Admissions
For applications for in year admissions, appeals must be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
Applications to Sixth Form
For applications to the Sixth Form, where the offer of a place is conditional upon exam results, appeals will be heard within 30 school days of confirmation of those results. If the offer of a place is not conditional upon exam results, appeals will be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals.
