Admissions Appeals
Appeal Against School Admission Decision: St Bartholomew’s School.
Submitting an appeal
If your child has not been offered a place at St Bartholomew’s School, you can appeal against this decision. To appeal, you must complete the below online form. There is an option to upload documents to support your appeal. The reason for your appeal field is limited to 2500 characters. You may therefore prefer to attach one or more supporting documents. It is advisable to prepare any documents before completing the form.
Once the form has been submitted it cannot be amended. However, you are able to save progress and return to the form before submission. You should submit all your evidence at the time of lodging your appeal. In the event that you wish to provide any additional documents following submission, these must be emailed to admissions@stbarts.co.uk no later than five working days before the hearing, so the information can be circulated to the Panel and School’s Presenting Officer. The Panel will then decide whether to accept late evidence.
Appeal hearings
The completed appeal will be processed and a panel set up by Clerks Associates UK, who are independent of St Bartholomew’s School. Appeal hearings are conducted remotely, that is by Zoom video conferencing or telephone.
The names of the Appeal Panel, date, time and hearing details are posted by letter from Clerks Associates UK in advance of the hearing. At least ten school days’ notice will be given for an appeal hearing. It is hoped you will take the opportunity to attend and present your case to the Independent Appeal Panel. Details about attendance and representation will be provided by Clerks Associates UK.
Appeals are determined on the basis of a written submission only.
Withdrawing an appeal
If you wish to withdraw an appeal after you have submitted it, you must email admissions@stbarts.co.uk giving your name, your child’s name, your child’s date of birth and the date you submitted the appeal together with a formal request to withdraw from the appeals process.
If you have any queries, you can email the school’s admissions office at admissions@stbarts.co.uk
