Remembrance Day Service

On Friday 9 November, the whole school gathered in the hub for the annual St Bart’s Remembrance Service. As well as staff and students in every year from the school, the service was attended by ex-servicemen, governors and members of the Parents’ Association and Old Newburians’ Association.

They heard bugle calls and “Old 100th” from the brass band. A new piece, written specially by Mr Maunders, to mark the centenary of the first Armistice Day, called “A Century Passed”, was also presented. Played by representatives of the four houses, this performance was much praised by those at the service.

The music was recorded, and can be heard again by following this link.
