Excellent Exam Results
In August, St Bart’s were delighted to celebrate another brilliant set of exam results for St Bart’s Year 11 and Year 13 students.
YEAR 11 RESULTS
Year 11 delivered the strongest overall set of GCSE results since 2018, with 86% of all GCSE grades at grade 4 or higher (national 67.3%), and nearly 40% (national 22%) of all grades at grade 7 or higher. 82% of students gained at least a grade 4 in both English and Maths, ensuring that they can smoothly progress to further study, and an impressive 66% of students achieved at least a grade 5 in both English and Maths.
A total of 61 students achieved at least 8 GCSEs at grade 7 or higher, with Gauravi Deegwal, Keiyona Ghai, Sofia Hughes, Chloe Johnson, Vedha Krishnan, Irina Pop, Shawn Ramos and Misbah Shahul Hameed, achieving an extraordinary total of 75 grade 9s between them.
YEAR 13 RESULTS
Over a quarter of all grades were at A* to A and 76% of A Level grades were at A* to C. 108 students achieved at least one A grade or better, demonstrating excellent performance across our exceptionally broad curriculum. 28 students gained at least 3 A*/A grades or better at A level and special mention must be made of the achievement of Arpit Bhabhra, William Fortmuller, Brigid Joyce, Isaac Rutter, Lily Walke and Deenuka Worrall who all achieved at least 3 A* grades.
190 St Bartholomew’s students are taking up places at universities across the country, including Martha Fitch (Oxford, Biology), Samuel Dickens (Cambridge, Asian & Middle Eastern Studies), William Fortmuller (Cambridge, Engineering), Takuma Burton (Cambridge, Natural Sciences), Shreya Tripathi (Dundee, Medicine), Elri Kotze (Birmingham, Medicine) and Rachel Saddington (Surrey, Veterinary Medicine & Science). To date, 15 students have also secured competitive apprenticeship offers, including Level 6 placements for Dovydas Bonckus (Progressive Technologies, Engineering), Tom Bennett, (Shell, Finance & Management), Jacob Khan (Deloitte, Finance), Bluebell Bradfield (Deloitte, Project Management), Arpit Bhabhra (Deutsche Bank, Finance), Conor McManus (BAE, Project Management) and Emily Tompkins (NHS, Medical Physics).
Dr Fitter congratulated our Year 11 and 13 in whole school assembly yesterday. These cohorts have demonstrated hard work, commitment and resilience, and been justly rewarded for their efforts. Students have also been supported by the wonderful St Bart’s community – our excellent teaching staff, support staff and, of course, the students’ own families. They deserve to be immensely proud of their progress, their achievements and the contributions they have made (and continue to make as Year 12 or alumni) to our school. We are so very proud of them all and we wish them all the best for their next steps.
