“Olive!” is a Bright Theatre Trip
On 11 March, we went to the Gielgud Theatre in London to watch the uplifting and funny tale of Oliver Twist. The production follows a young, 11 year old boy and his journey through Victorian England. The play consisted of a bright and entertaining cast using props and physical theatrics to set the mood of each scene, funny and sad.
I enjoyed their use of sets, which were intelligently designed to bring the audience along with them and really engage with the story. I also really enjoyed the songs, which were always led with amazingly choreographed dances and interesting depths into the kind of characters they were and the mood they were bringing with them.
It was a great opportunity to attend this event with school and to have a fun afternoon with classmates and to experience the night out at the theatre.
