Well Done Harvey

Earlier in the year, Patterson House nominated Harvey (10P2) for Newbury Town Young Person’s Civic Award, based on his continuous fundraising for Patterson charity, Guide Dogs. Harvey was invited to attend the Awards, and although he didn’t win the main award, he was noted as ‘One to Watch’. Harvey is our highest single fundraiser within Patterson and we are very proud of his efforts and enthusiasm.

Harvey said, “Receiving a letter from the Mayor’s office informing me of my nomination for the Newbury Town Young Person’s Civic Award was a surprise! The awards evening at St Nicolas Church Hall was fun and memorable – I had the chance to meet amazing people who volunteer their time for our town. It was also a great opportunity to get a mention for Guide Dogs. I was honoured to receive a ‘One to Watch’ certificate, engage in a conversation with the Mayor and enjoy some sandwiches and cake! A big thank you to Patterson House for nominating me for my Guide Dog fundraising efforts. With around £1500 raised so far, I’m determined to keep adding to it!”
