Year 9 County Cup vs Forest School

The Year 9 Boys’ Football team played against Forest School in the first round of the County Cup. It was a fairly even first half with the score line being 1-0 to Forest at half time. The second half was again highly competitive with St Bart’s starting the stronger team, creating good patterns and working good goal scoring opportunities, but failing to put the ball in the back of the net. Going into the last five minutes the score was 3-1 to Forest. St Bart’s managed to get one back to make the score 3-2. However, despite working hard to get another goal, Forest were clinical on the counter attack and from pieces and the score finished 6-2. The score line definitely flattered Forest, but the game today was won in both boxes. Forest were more clinical and defended well in key moments. Goal scorers were Sean and Jacob. Player of the match was James for his great all round play.
