Year 8 Football

Our Year 8 girls had their second round of West Berkshire fixtures on Tuesday. This was the best football they have played since starting at St Bart’s which was reflected in the results. The A team won 3 out of 3, beating Kennet School C with a goal from Bella, which was excellently worked from a corner. They also beat St Gabriel’s School, 1-0, and won 2-0 against a strong Park House School A side, with all goals coming from Alice, who stepped up from Year 7 to help out. The B team were extremely unlucky only to draw, 1-1, with The Willink School with Jessie scoring from Year 7 who also stepped up. Unfortunately they lost 1-0 to The Downs School in their final game. A great evening of football – well done all and a big thank you to all the Year 7s who helped out at the last minute.
